Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
